A snowman's land

Hey you, yes you, Have you heard of snowmen that move?
Mid afternoon all the little kiddies were making snowmen
and they named them all there was Glitter, Glam, Mandy and Sassy the snowman. Then it got later and later until you could see the stars and the moon as they shone upon the snowmen they started to move and next thing I know they were literally turning a winter wonderland  into snowman's land.

Then all the kids are inside getting ready for bed. Putting out cookies, milk and carrots and getting tucked in by there parents all snuggly to let Santa come. The parents put their presents under the tree and then they get themselves ready for bed. Then snuggle into bed.

Then when it gets a bit later into the night, a big yucky green thing roams around the street the snowmen turned into toys cause of the sight the see, so he got his big bag and opens the door tiptoes his way in and steals every thing as fast as he can then a little anonymous boy comes down the stairs and stops for a moment and steers. Then he makes his way to the last step and says… hey, and the Grinch says hi and then the boy asked what are you doing, stealing Christmas and then the boy explains what Christmas is about it’s about caring for each other spending time with each other and you are more than welcome to celebrate Christmas with us .

  1. Hi there Erika

My name is Jade F and I will be working with your school cluster in the Summer Learning Journey Programme this summer break.

I really enjoyed reading your creative writing about snowmen and the Grinch. Your story reminded me so much of bedtime story I used to read when I was younger about a boy who built a snowman who came to life and they travelled around the world in one night. I also enjoyed reading Dr Seuss’s book The Grinch Who Stole Christmas as a child, I liked the film of it too! Combing the two great stories together was very creative!

I hope you come in and join the blogging programme this summer. There’s heaps of fun activities to do and many things to blog about, I reckon you’d love it. All you have to do is head onto the activities page and begin the activities. If you would like to have a look at your mates blog posts or other student’s blogs who are in the Summer Learning Journey with you check out the programme’s twitter feed here
